ATLANTIS, FL - Rob Torrington, who is he you ask? He is a resident of Palm Beach Gardens and an active businessman who is driven to support the local community through his involvement with countless philanthropic efforts. He is innovative, driven and selfless. He has a passion to support others and will do anything it takes to make our community better and stronger.
In just three shorts weeks Torrington, in honor of the 100th anniversary of veteran's day, will begin his 1,000 push-up challenge. Is this 1,000 push-up challenge like the ice bucket challenge? YES! Torrington will do 1,000 push-ups on November 12th to create awareness of the South Florida PGA Foundation PGA HOPE (helping our patriots everywhere) program and the upcoming PGA HOPE Golf Classic.
Along with Torrington, many others including SFPGA Professionals and staff members will join in the ""Challenge"" to help raise funds to support our local veterans!
What is PGA HOPE? Might sound crazy, but it provides just that, HOPE for our local veterans. A program launched in South Florida in late 2015, if affords veterans with an opportunity to learn the game of golf as a form of therapy and assimilation back into civilian life. Since its inception it has impacted more than 475 local veterans in five south Florida counties and continues to grow annually.
This program is changing lives, and through Torrington's efforts and support of the community it is only going to grow.
