SFPGA Teams Up with Local Sports Organizations to Promote Golf

The South Florida PGA recently worked with local sports organizations to promote the game of golf.  Below are more details:

Play Golf America Event at Roger Dean Stadium
On Thursday, March 19th
Roger Dean 2015 (Cardinals vs. Mets, #4)sunny skies greeted baseball fans at Roger Dean Stadium as the St. Louis Cardinals took on the New York Mets for a spring training game. The South Florida PGA and Section member Ed Angulo were on-site promoting golf and offering free lessons prior to and during the game. Over 40 individuals stopped by the hitting bay and were given instruction during the three hour event.

Special thanks go out to PGA Professional Ed Angulo who volunteered his time and expertise. We appreciate everything you do to help grow the game of golf.

PGA Night with the Florida Panthers
Panthers Hockey Game #4The Florida Panthers hosted the Boston Bruins on Saturday night (March 21st) at the BB&T Center in Sunrise. The hometown Panthers were victorious and inched closer to the last wild card spot in the playoffs. Prior to the game, the South Florida PGA and Section members Larry Levow and Jon Hoon joined the fun and offered free lessons to fans in attendance. Over 30 individuals stopped by and were given instruction during the two hour event. Special thanks to Larry and Jon for the amazing work!

In addition to the activities, just before the game started and inside the arena, SFPGA President Warren Bottke was introduced on the ice and participated in the ceremonial slap shot.  See more HERE.
