Looking Ahead in March

The South Florida PGA has an active month working to grow the game of golf.  Several events are scheduled and the South Florida PGA will be on-hand.  More highlights below:

Friday, March 6
Verde Elementary School in Boca Raton is hosting a school carnival on Friday afternoon.  Games, entertainment, hands-on workshops, and more will be available for kids and families.  PGA Professional Jess Frank will be promoting golf and offering free lessons to those in attendance.

Saturday, March 7
The Boca Chamber is hosting a Community Cookout on Saturday afternoon at the YMCA of South Palm Beach County.  This will be a fun day of food and games for the whole family.  Chamber members and non-members are invited to attend.  There will be tons of food – including hot dogs, hamburgers, veggies, chips and much more.  Fun games for family members of all ages, bounce houses, slides, DJ and more.

Once again, PGA Professional Jess Frank will be promoting golf and offering free lessons to those in attendance.  Admission to the Community Cookout is FREE!  You can purchase a meal ticket for $5 which includes a burger or hotdog, cold salad, chips and a beverage.  Learn more online HERE.

Thursday, March 19
Come join the fun at Roger Dean Stadium as the St. Louis Cardinals take on the New York Mets.  The South Florida PGA and local PGA Professionals will be on-site during the game offering free lessons to fans in attendance.  Game starts at 1:05 PM.  Get tickets HERE.

Saturday, March 21
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 21st.  The hockey regular season is nearing an end and the hometown Panthers are in a tight playoff race for the last wild card spot.  They take on the Boston Bruins at the BB&T Center.  Game starts at 7:00 PM.  The night is dedicated to golf and the South Florida PGA will be on-hand hosting a Play Golf America event.  Sports fans, families and more are encouraged to join the fun.  Discounted tickets are being offered, please note ticketing information below:

  • $40 – Lower Endzone
  • $19 – Goal Zone

Saturday, March 28
Don Law Family Golf Day will be hosted at Osprey Point Golf Course on Saturday, March 28th.  Bring the whole family for this FREE to attend fundraising golf style carnival.  They will have all the latest golf equipment, complimentary golf lessons, contests, food, bounce houses, Golfzilla, Kwik Golf, face painting and much more.  All the proceeds will benefit the Families First Golf Foundation.  The Families First Golf Foundation brings golf to children and families that may not be able to afford golf themselves.  The South Florida PGA will be on-site promoting junior golf programs within the Section.
