Quail Creek Country Club Host Fifth Prep Tour Event of 2017!

Naples, Fla. – This Wednesday, the South Florida PGA Junior Prep Tour presented by The Honda Classic held the fifth Prep Tour Event of the 2017 season at Quail Creek Country Club. A field size of 38 players aging from 9-18 competed on this beautiful Wednesday. After weeks of endless rain, the sun made its way out as 12 players brought home a win. Victor Herrera of Doral took home the boys 9-10 age division with a 4-over par 76. Pembroke Pines native Eric Nguyen took home the runner-up spot in the boys 9-10 age division with a 6-over par 78. Bonita Springs native Keegan McGinn and Sam Davey of Fort Lauderdale both captured the boys 11-12 age division with an 87. Davie native took home the boys 13-18 age division with a 5-over par 77. John Eric Weiss of Homestead took home runner-up for the boys 13-18 age division with an 82.   Morgan Rodriguez of Delray Beach captured the girls 9-10 age division with an 81. Boca Raton native Kayla Bryant took home the runner-up spot in the girls 9-10 age division with an 83. Alessandra Tabora Lorenz of Weston and Boca Raton native Nicole Yugay both took home the girls 11-12 age division with a 90. Jupiter native Morgan Wade captured the girls 13-18 age division with a 92. Madison Elia of Boynton Beach took home the runner-up spot in the girls 13-18 age division with a 97. 2017 Southeast Chapter Spring Meeting & Awards Presentation

On Monday, May 22nd, the South Florida PGA Southeast Chapter conducted their Annual Spring Meeting and Awards Presentation at The Club at Ibis. Over 150 members and apprentices gathered together to recognize the outstanding work of their fellow peers and receive a report on all Chapter business. Congratulations to Jeff Waber, PGA Director of Golf at the Old Course at Broken Sound for being awarded the 2016 Golf Professional of the Year. Jeff’s hard work and dedication was seen by many of his peers in the Southeast Chapter. During the Meeting the Southeast Chapter membership elected Bill Scott, PGA as their new At-Large Board Member to serve on the section board. Special thanks to the staff at The Club at Ibis for all their support and generosity in hosting this event. Southwest Chapter Spring Meeting & Awards Presentation

On Monday, May 15th, the South Florida PGA Southwest Chapter conducted their Annual Spring Meeting and Awards Presentation at Pelican Sound Golf and River Club. Over 250 members and apprentices gathered together to recognize the outstanding work of their fellow peers and receive a report on all Chapter business. During the meeting Southwest Chapter President, Kevin Kuehl, PGA presented five local organizations with grants to assist with their programming.  Each year the Chapter supports local organizations as a way of giving back to the local community. In addition to the charitable gifts awarded, twelve high school students  received scholarship grants to assist with their college education. Special thanks to the staff at Pelican Sound Golf and River Club for all their support and generosity in hosting this event.
