Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course Plays Host to Third Prep Tour Event of 2017

ATLANTIS, Fla. – Today, the South Florida PGA Junior Prep Tour presented by The Honda Classic held the third Prep Tour Event of the 2017 season at Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course. This event featured a full field of 68 players aging from 9-18 years old. With amazing weather, a competitive field of players, and amazing views of the ocean, seven individuals went home with a win. Matthew Golovanov of Boca Raton took home the boys 9-10 age division with a 1-under par 53. Jupiter native Tristian Wieland took runner-up for the boys 9-10 age division with an even par round of 54. Reed Greserman of Boca Raton and Miami Shores native Antonio Justo tied to take home the boys 11-12 age division with a 1-under par 53. Will Balanoff of Davie captured the boys 13-18 age division with a 3-over par 57.  Cape Coral native Gregory Moore took home runner-up for the boys 13-18 age division with a 4-over par 58.   Morgan Rodriguez of Delray Beach captured the girls 9-10 age division with an 8-over par 62. Hobe Sound native Morgan Pichler took home the runner-up spot in the girls 9-10 age division with a 9-over par 63. Madison Moman of Palm Beach Gardens took home the girls 11-12 age division with a 6-over par 60.  Weston native Alessandra Tabora Lorenz was the runner-up for girls 11-12 age division with a 12-over par 66. Amanda Harper of Jupiter won the girls 13-18 age division with an 8-over par 62. Boca Raton native Gianna DiRoberto took home runner-up in girls 13-18 age division with a 14-over par 68. 2017 Southern Chapter Spring Meeting of the Membership

The 2017 Southern Chapter Spring Meeting of the Membership presented by National Performance Warehouse took place on Monday, March 27th at Trump National Doral. Approximately 60 South Florida PGA Southern Chapter Professionals and Apprentices attended this event. Guest speaker Larry Pacey with National Performance Warehouse spoke about their operations along with their goals in partnering with the Southern Chapter throughout the year. National Performance Warehouse is a small local operation who sell traditional and performance auto parts. During the Meeting the Southern Chapter membership elected their new officers. Sworn into office were the following members: President – Scott Kirkwood, PGA Director of Golf at Ocean Reef Club Vice President – Santos Caceres, PGA Assistant Golf Professional at Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne Secretary – Shane Warriner, PGA Head Golf Professional at the Country Club of Miami We congratulate the new officers on their elected portions, and encourage anyone in the Southern Chapter to reach out to them with questions or inquiries on getting involved.

Sandhill Crane Golf Club Plays Host to Second Prep Tour Event of 2017!

ATLANTIS, Fla. – Today, the South Florida PGA Junior Prep Tour presented by The Honda Classic held the second Prep Tour Event of the 2017 season at Sandhill Crane Golf Club. This event featured a full field of 72 players aging from 9-18 years old. With amazing weather, outstanding course conditions, and a competitive field of players, seven individuals went home with a win. Eric Nguyen of Pembroke Pines took home the boys 9-10 age division with an even par round of 72. West Palm Beach native Michael Nardone took runner-up for the boys 9-10 age division with a 1-over par 73. Dalton Payne of Estero took home the boys 11-12 age division with a 5-over par 77. Boca Raton native Reed Greyserman was runner-up in the boys 11-12 age division with a 6-over par 78.  Roger Serrano of Port St. Lucie captured the boys 13-18 age division with a 5-over par 77.  Jupiter native Stephen Wiseman took home runner-up for the boys 13-18 age division with a 7-over par 79.   Morgan Rodriguez of Delray Beach captured the girls 9-10 age division with a 5-over par 77. Boca Raton native Kayla Bryant took home the runner-up spot in the girls 9-10 age division with a 7-over par 79. Rachel Gomez of Pembroke Pines took home the girls 11-12 age division with a 7-over par 79. Loxahatchee native Christina Lee Marcellus was the runner-up for girls 11-12 age division with an 8-over par 80. Amanda Harper of Jupiter won the girls 13-18 age division with an 88.
